1. Our commitment

Imperial AC wants its website to be usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use keyboards, screen readers, magnification, voice input or other assistive technology.

2. Accessibility target

We aim to improve the website toward Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. This is an ongoing target and not a claim that every page currently conforms.

3. Measures included in the website

  • A skip link to bypass repeated navigation.
  • Semantic headings, landmarks, forms and tables.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation and controls.
  • Visible focus states and high-contrast text.
  • Responsive layouts that support zoom and smaller screens.
  • Alternative text fields for published images where supported by the CMS.
  • Reduced reliance on colour alone to communicate meaning.

4. Known limitations

Some uploaded images may initially have incomplete descriptions, third-party content may not meet the same standard, and older documents or social posts may not be fully accessible. The club should review new content before publication.

5. Feedback and assistance

If you cannot access information or complete a task, email 06imperialfc@gmail.com. Include the page address, what you were trying to do and the device or assistive technology used where possible.

6. External guidance

Our accessibility approach is informed by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative. Visit the official WCAG overview.
